Revenues $20.2 million 32% sequential improvement
Returned to profitability Positive operating cash flow MIGDAL HAEMEK, Israel, Camtek Ltd. (NASDAQ: CAMT; TASE: CAMT), announced today its financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2007.
Revenues for the third quarter of 2007 were $20.2 million, 23% below the $26.3 million reported in the third quarter of 2006, and sequentially 32% above the $15.3 million reported in the second quarter of 2007. These revenues are slightly above the guidance range of $17-20 million provided for the third quarter.
Gross profit margin for the third quarter of 2007 was 37.6%, compared to 53.2% for the third quarter of 2006, and 40.8% for the second quarter of 2007. The Company reported third quarter net income of $85 thousand, or $0 per diluted share, compared to a net income of $4.2 million, or $0.14 per diluted share, in the third quarter of last year, and a loss of $3.5 million, or ($0.11) per basic share, in the second quarter of 2007.
“I am pleased with our third quarter results as we achieved our revenues and cost structure goals, despite the softness in the semiconductor industry,”commented Rafi Amit, Camtek’s CEO. “Sales to the PCB industry were strong, indicating both an increasing level of activity and the success of our new 3G AOI product lines to this market. While the softness in demand in the semiconductor sector continued throughout the third quarter, we did see an increase in incoming orders during the third quarter which we expect to recognize in the fourth quarter.”

Falcons to Be Installed At Plants in Asia
MIGDAL HA'EMEK, Israel, August 15, 2007 - Camtek Ltd. (Nasdaq: CAMT; TASE: CAMT) announced today that it received follow on orders for five Falcon wafer inspection systems from a leading international semiconductor manufacturer. The systems will be installed at two plants in Asia during the third and fourth quarters of 2007. The orders, totaling several million dollars, include Falcon models for 3D metrology and inspection of bumped wafers, and for 2D inspection of wafer-level packaged MEMS devices at various stages of their production. Revenues of $15.3 million – sequential growth of 6% Expects sequential growth in the third quarter MIGDAL HAEMEK, Israel – August 6, 2007 – Camtek Ltd. (NASDAQ: CAMT), today announced its results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2007. Revenues for the second quarter of 2007 were $15.3 million, 45% below $27.9 million in the second quarter of 2006, and up 6% sequentially from $14.5 million reported in the first quarter of 2007. Gross profit margin for the second quarter of 2007 was 40.8%, compared to 54.6% for the second quarter of 2006, and 41.5% for the first quarter of 2007. The Company reported a second quarter net loss of $3.5 million, or $0.11per diluted share, compared to a net income of $5.2 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, in the second quarter of last year, and a net loss of $4.3 million,or $0.14 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2007. Rafi Amit, Camtek’s CEO, commented, “Toward the end of the second quarter we began to see a significant increase in demand for our products, especially for inspection of printed circuit boards. One example of this increased demand was the multi-million dollar order we announced two weeks ago. We expect this demand to translate to orders and contribute to significantly higher third quarter revenues. (NASDAQ: CAMT; TASE: CAMT), announced today that it received a multi-million dollar order for automated optical inspection (AOI) systems from a leading PCB manufacturer based in Taiwan. The order includes forty four of the new 3G family Dragon and Orion AOI systems recently presented to the market. In addition, the order includes upgrading thirty two of existing systems to 3G performance and more than 20 units of new CVR100 verification systems. The new systems will be installed at the customer's new plant in China and the revenues will be recognized during the third and fourth quarters of 2007. |
